FTX.US is a brand new US-regulated cryptocurrency exchange, built from the ground up. Our mission is for FTX.US to grow the digital currency ecosystem, offer US traders a platform that inspires their loyalty, and become a market leading US cryptocurrency exchange over the next two years.

We have a history of providing market-leading liquidity–from some of the industry’s top market makers to the most liquid futures order books. Because of this FTX.US has had industry-leading order-books from day one.

Fiat

FTX.US combines industry leading banking on-ramps that make depositing and withdrawing fiat a simple and quick experience. Furthermore, FTX.US has seamlessly integrated Stablecoins with USD in order to aggregate liquidity and ease of use.

Sam Bankman-Fried

CEO and Founder

Before founding FTX, Sam was a trader on Jane Street Capital’s international ETF desk. He traded a variety of ETFs, futures, currencies, and equities, and designed their automated OTC trading system. He graduated from MIT with a degree in physics.

Brett Harrison

President

Prior to joining FTX US, Brett was Head of Semi-Systematic Technology at Citadel Securities, where he managed technology for the firm’s Options, ETF, OTC, and ADR trading globally. He began and spent the majority of his career at Jane Street, where he led the firm’s algorithmic trading system development. He also previously worked at Headlands Technologies as a senior software developer. Brett received his M.S. and B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard.

Gary Wang

CTO and Founder

Gary was a software engineer at Google prior to founding FTX. There, he built systems to aggregate prices across millions of flights, decreasing latency and memory usage by over 50%. He graduated from MIT with a degree in Mathematics with Computer Science.

Nishad Singh

Head of Engineering

Prior to joining FTX, Nishad was a software engineer at Facebook where he worked on applied Machine Learning. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of California Berkeley with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Dan Friedberg

Chief Regulatory Officer

Prior to joining FTX, Dan was a partner at Fenwick & West LLP. There, he led the cryptocurrency practice, and was the chair of the Payment Systems group. Dan received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, cum laude, as well as his M.B.A.

Sina Nader

Head of Partnerships

Before joining FTX, Sina was Robinhood’s first head of crypto, where he led and grew a team serving millions of customers during a period of hyper growth. Prior to that, he co-founded one of the earliest crypto fund of funds. He started his career at Morgan Stanley, and later joined Credit Suisse. He received his BA from UC Berkeley, and his MBA from USC.

Ryne Miller

General Counsel

Ryne was a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and co-head of their commodities, futures & derivatives practice. Prior to that, Ryne was legal counsel to CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler and a staff attorney in the CFTC’s Division of Market Oversight. Before that he worked as a law clerk for Magistrate Judge Steven P. Shreder in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Ryne has a LL.M. from the New York University School of Law and a JD from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He has a bachelors degree in Economics from Oklahoma State University.

Karista Vaeth

Senior Counsel

Prior to joining FTX, Karista served as Director and Assistant General Counsel at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, where she focused on commercial transactions and provided legal counsel to the DTCC Data Services business. Karista has also served as in-house counsel for other financial services firms, including RBC Capital Markets and Jane Street, where she advised various business and operational units on general corporate matters and drafted and negotiated key trading, technology, vendor and data services deals. Karista received both her undergraduate degree and JD from Syracuse University.

Trevor Levine

Senior Counsel

Trevor has spent his career advising financial institutions and fintech clients on both the regulatory and commercial aspects of their businesses, including the structuring and launch of digital assets, applications and other innovative products. Prior to joining FTX US, Trevor practiced law at Reed Smith LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He has also worked as a contract attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. Trevor received his JD from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Taylor Johnson

Head of UX Development

Prior to joining FTX, Taylor was a software engineer at Blockfolio where he helped build the leading crypto portfolio tracking application. His career in FinTech started with an internship at RBC Capital Markets working on fixed income derivative risk software. He graduated from University of Maryland with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship.

Stephanie Lennox

Head of Recruitment

Prior to FTX, Stephanie was the Talent Acquisition Lead at 1Password where she built out the recruitment function and doubled the employee size in a year. She has helped several companies in the technology space scale their teams for almost a decade. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majored in Human Resources Management from the University of Windsor and is a Registered Professional Recruiter(RPR) from the Institute of Professional Management.
